San Diego Company Uses Biomimicry for Healthy Snack
Using humpback whales as an inspiration and then saying thank you by working to conserve the species that is what inspired San Diego organic tortilla chip company, Whale Tails Tortilla Chips. An eco entrepreneurship started by San Diegans, used biomimicry to create their whale tail shaped tortilla chips that are very popular The shape of the chip was inspired by nature and they demonstrate their gratitude to nature by supporting ocean conservation. Their first donation went to fund water quality surveys in Magdalena Bay the birthplace of the species that inspired us.
Whale Tails Tortilla Chips is the only certified organic snack company in the world to use a deep knowledge of biological adaptations to design a tortilla chip that is naturally better for dipping and engineers a way to give back.
