Every researcher’s dream, this nonprofit organization maintains databases of research in animal science, entomology, mycology, toxicology, and biomedicine. Biosis claims to hold the world's largest collection of abstracts and bibliographic references to worldwide biological and medical literature, and a visit to the organization’s Web site supports this claim. Read summaries of the extensive Biosis databases, including the "Zoological Record" for animal-science research; the "Methods Finder" for information on laboratory methods; and "Biosis Previews," an index of journals, meetings, patents, and books in the life-sciences and biomedical fields. Databases are available online or on CD-ROM. Submit a request online for pricing information or for a free trial subscription.
